Los alumnos de 2º os desean una Feliz Navidad y  un Feliz Año Nuevo.

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL

Last friday, the 21th December, there was a party to celebrate Christmas.
The Three Wise Men visited 2nd level classroom and they handed out
some sweets.

       

Then the pupils sang Christmas Carols.These  pupils sang "Jingle Bell".

They  learnt a difficult and  long  song and they sang very well.

Finally children gave their letters to the Three Wise Men.

     



 

El pasado viernes día 21  de diciembre hubo en el Colegio una fiesta para celebrar la Navidad.

Los Reyes Magos visitaron la clase y repartieron caramelos.

Después todos los alumnos cantaron villancicos.

Estos alumnos cantaron "Jingle Bell". Este villancico es muy difícil y largo y ellos lo cantaron muy bien.

Finalmente entregaron sus cartas  a los Reyes Magos. 

"CHRISTMAS CRACKERS"

Families and friends pull crackers. Inside there are little presents, jokes and a hat.

Las familias y los amigos se regalan "Christmas crackers". Se abren tirando de ellos. En su interior hay pequeños regalos, chistes y un sombrero.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

Last week 2nd level children have been preparing decorations for Christmas. They have done Christmas crackers, a Christmas tree and paintings. They have written the letter to The Three Wise Men and they have learnt a Christmas Carol:"Jingle Bell".

La pasada semana los niños de segundo han decorado la clase para la Navidad. Han hecho "Christmas crackers", un árbol de Navidad y dibujos. Han escrito la carta para los Reyes Magos y han aprendido el villancico "Jingle Bell".

"CONSTITUCIÓN" DAY.

 

The 5 th of December we celebrated the "Constitución" day.
The 2 nd level pupils did worksheets about our "Constitución" and they made a flag.

     

Then the classroom was decorated with these pictures.

 


The most interesting activities were in the school hall: there was a little
performance about the "Constitución", we listened to the national
anthem while the Spanish flag was hoisted and a nice couple danced
a typical Spanish "pasodoble".
All the people were delighted.

 

 

 

 

 

El pasado 5 de diciembre celebramos el día de la Constitución.

Los alumnos de 2º hicieron fichas sobre la Constitución y una bandera.

Más tarde la clase se decoró con estos dibujos.

Pero las actividades más interesantes fueron en el patio del colegio:

allí hubo una pequeña representación sobre la Constitución,

oímos el himno nacional mientras la bandera era izada y

una encantadora pareja bailó un típico pasodoble español.

Todos los presentes disfrutamos.

A WINNER IN 2nd LEVEL.

In November, Saturday the 24th, there was a competition in Los Llanos.

This competition was a race across the country.

A girl of 2nd level won a silver medal because she arrived the second

in her category.

El pasado sábado 24 de noviembre hubo una carrera campo a través en los Llanos.

 

Lucía Bueno Moreno de 2º llegó en segundo lugar y ganó una medalla de plata en su categoría.

 

CHILDREN HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF RHYTHM!

Last 3 of December, children of second level had a zumba class. They enjoyed themselves and they had a good time.

¡QUÉ RITMO TIENEN LOS CHICOS! El pasado 3 de diciembre los niños de 2º tuvieron una clase de zumba. Se divirtieron y pasaron un buen rato.

DÍA DE LA FRUTA

On Friday, November 30^th, we celebrated “Autumn Fruits” with a school-wide breakfast.  Students from each class brought an assigned fruit or fall food, resulting in a great variety of treats.  Bananas, apples, mandarins, quince, and quince jelly were some of the fruits.  Other foods included walnuts, almonds, roasted chestnuts, sweet potatoes, and popcorn (a favorite of the children).  Everyone had something delicious to eat and we all enjoyed ourselves.  Congratulations and thank you to Paqui for her successful organization of the event!

" AUTUMN PARTY "

Last friday  the school celebrated "The autumn party"  and pupils ate autumn fruits.
Second level pupils have taken part, also.
First, they brought lots of fruits (bananas, pears, apples and chestnuts) and they made fruits crowns.

 

Then, they put on their fruits crowns. And finally, they ate the fruits.

 

 

 

It has been a succesful "Autumn party", thanks to Paqui Sánchez (who has coordinated this activity) and the pupils parents (who have cooperated).

 

 

El pasado viernes el colegio celebró "La fiesta del otoño" y los alumnos comieron frutas de otoño.

Los alumnos de segundo también tomaron parte de la fiesta.

Primero, llevaron montones de fruta (plátanos, peras, manzanas y castañas) y elaboraron unas coronas de frutas.

Luego se pusieron sus coronas de frutas y comieron.

Esta fiesta ha sido un éxito gracias a Paqui Sánchez (que ha coordinado esta actividad) y a los padres de los alumnos (que han colaborado).

 

 



HEALTHY FOOD

Healthy food is very important for Second level pupils.
They have done a pyramid food. It's necessary to eat food from every group: cereals and bread, fruits and vegetables, animal products and sweets.
The less important are sweets and the most important is water.
You must drink a lot of water!

La alimentación sana es muy importante para los alumnos del 2º nivel. Ellos han hecho una pirámide  de los alimentos. Es necesario tomar alimentos de cada grupo: cereales y pan, frutas y verduras, productos de origen animal y dulces.
Lo menos importante son los dulces y lo más importante es el agua.
¡Debes beber mucha agua!

DÍA DE LA NO VIOLENCIA

ALUMNOS DE 1º CON SUS HOJAS LISTAS PARA PEGAR EN EL ÁRBOL

On November 23^rd, Romero Robledo celebrated the International Day of the Elimination of Violence Against Women.  Students put handprints with words related to peace and nonviolence as the leaves of a tree.  Then, a manifesto was read in both Spanish and English.  We talked about living together peacefully and respectfully.  Finally, students who agreed with the manifesto signed it.

THANKSGIVING DINNER  - CENA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS

This week in Primero we talked about Thanksgiving.  Erica explain to us that as an American, this holiday is an important time for family, gratitude, and food. We learned about the Pilgrims who arrived in America from England and the Indians who helped them to plant crops.  When the harvest came in, the Pilgrims and Indians had a large feast to celebrate their success and to give thanks for all they had.Today, a typical Thanksgiving dinner includes turkey, stuffing, squash, and pumpkin pie.  We remember all of the blessings we have in our life.

PUMPKIN PIE - PASTEL DE CALABAZA

En clase realizamos una exposición acerca de la fiesta más familiar de los Estados Unidos. Los alumnos y alumnas de 1º han aprendido y practicado el vocabulario más típico y sabroso de esta celebración: turkey (pavo), pumpkin pie (pastel de calabaza), stuffing (relleno del pavo), etc. Igualmente se les explicó el origen de la fiesta así como las actividades que se llevan a cabo durante la misma. Aprendieron que en este día se da las gracias (Thanksgiving) por todas las bendiciones (blessings) de las que disfrutamos en nuestra vida.
